Ethical Guidelines for Publication

Jus et Civitas: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is committed to upholding high ethical standards at every stage of the publication process. These ethical guidelines apply to all parties involved: authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

1 Author Responsibilities

  • Authors must ensure that their submissions are original and free from plagiarism.

  • All sources and references must be appropriately cited.

  • Authors may not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.

  • Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

  • If a significant error is discovered after publication, the author is obligated to inform the editor for correction or retraction.

2 Editor Responsibilities

  • Editors are responsible for the final decision to accept or reject a manuscript.

  • Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

  • Editorial decisions must be fair and unbiased, without discrimination or conflicts of interest.

  • Editors must investigate any suspected ethical breaches seriously and take appropriate action.

3 Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Reviewers should provide objective and constructive feedback to improve the quality of the manuscript.

  • Reviewers must decline to review if there is a conflict of interest.

  • Information contained in reviewed manuscripts must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage.

4 Publisher Responsibilities

  • The publisher supports editors and reviewers in fulfilling their duties professionally.

  • The publisher ensures that the journal adheres to principles of ethical and responsible publishing.

This journal follows the ethical guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and encourages all parties to commit to academic integrity.
